• When did you first start snowboarding?
  • Been snowboarding for 25 seasons, 86-87 was my first season. Its my 20th season pass in a row at Mt.Bachelor this year.

• What was your first big break in the industry?
  • My first big break was Kurt Heine finding me at Mt.Bachelor when I was like 17, and filming me for his movie. Then the next year had me and Peter Line going out on the road all season filming for Mack Dawg and Standard films.

• Gnarliest slam?
  • One of gnarliest slams was I hit a tree at bachelor going off a jump high speed, and fractured both wrists. I had to wear soft casts and wraps the rest of the year.

• Fondest snowboarding memory?
  • So many good snowboarding memories, maybe the old west bowls days before they built northwest chair. No one went out there.

• What do you think of snowboarding now VS snowboarding 10 years ago?
  • Snowboarding now compared to 10 years ago is pretty similar. The tricks are heavier, especially on rails. The kids are better at younger ages. But in all reality, it still has the same cool feeling as back then.

• Advice for the kiddies?
  • Stretch even though your body doesn’t seem to need it cause you guys are little gumbys. The more you take a serious and healthy approach at keeping your body in tune now, the longer you will last and less proned to injuries you will be in the future. Remember to snowboard because its fun, this will keep it real.
