You may have heard of some dude named Shaun White… he just won the Olympic Gold medal in the Men’s halfpipe? How about Tiny Dancer aka Louie Vito? Or America’s snowboarding sweetheart, Gretchen Bleiler? All these Olympians have to go somewhere to perfect their double-corks, 1080′s and Cripplers — summer training on Mount Hood at the High Cascade Snowboard Camp. Mount Hood is one of the few places that has quality snow year-round as well as a clean halfpipe to train on. Last summer, everyone was double-corking it up and practicing the tricks you’ve been seeing for the Olympics. Word is, Louie Vito even learned his first double-cork on Mount Hood! Tactics along with High Cascade Snowboard Camp wants to send one lucky rider to go to Mt. Hood this summer to go snowboarding.
