Skatepark benefit show at the Samurai Duck
Please join Skaters for Eugene Skateparks this Saturday, April 18th, from 6-9:00 p.m. at the Samurai Duck for a 21+ benefit show featuring Microphone Champion Illusionists, Sac Lunch Ki Design, Endr Won, Mac Nut, and Lomo and a Sol. $5 cover charge and all proceeds will go to Skaters for Eugene Skateparks to help build the W-J Skatepark. A little media coverage can’t hurt
Last night’s City Council meeting drew 33 speakers to voice concerns on matters such as Oregon’s version of the Idaho Stop cycling law, railroad pesticide spray use and, of course, the Washington-Jefferson skatepark. The meeting allowed skaters to plead their case for additional funding for the skatepark and let the City Council know that skateboarding is not a fad, but a lifestyle that will benefit the city of Eugene.
