Last weekend, members of the Tactics snowboard team (Jesse “Wetrat” Johnson, Tyler Osland, Sam Driver, Jesse Lederer and Reuben Valdivia) headed up to Mt. Bachelor to compete in the Dirksen Dirby. For the past three years, Josh Dirksen has thrown together a race in order to raise money for Tyler Eklund, a local rider who was injured three years ago. This year’s course was 100% hand built by Josh and friends and featured 12 vertical banked turns and a even a 10 foot double. Usually around 60 people show up but this year, they had to cap the entry at 160. Check out our rider’s weekend filled with snow, chowder and support for a fellow boarder.
