The first skate Red Bull Rivals went down this past weekend at Battleground, Wash. and after all was said and done, Washington took home two G’s for their DIY park in Seattle.

The competition pitted 20 skaters from around Oregon against 20 skaters from Washington, but in the end, Washington’s epic tricks on the wall were too much for Oregon’s tech tricks on the double-set and down manny pad.

It was a great weekend of skating and something we hope they keep doing.  After the comp, a bunch of heads from both teams met up at a little swimming spot for an after contest swim session and then took the festivities to the Jupiter Hotel and Doug Fir Lounge in downtown Portland.

From everybody at Tactics, we’d like to extend a huge “Thank You” to everybody at Red Bull, all the Oregon and Washington skaters, and everybody else who came out and supported.  Oregon for the win next year!
