First Annual Tactics Classic Golf Tournament
Calls were made, agendas were accommodated, and competition filled the air at Tactics. We were planning the inaugural Tactics Classic Golf Tournament. It was shaping up to be an epic afternoon and at one point, there were 22 committed players ranging from golf fanatics to people who were just down to hang out on the links with the Tactics crew.
The first date we set up turned out to be one of the first weekends the Willamette Valley received heavy rain, so we rescheduled. The following week was ASR and several people who wanted to play would be out of town, so I rescheduled the event for yesterday, September 20th.
Again, e-mails were sent out, calls were made, text messages received. The original crew dwindled, but many people were still on board…or so I thought. I called the Fiddlers Green just north of Eugene to make sure they could accomodate a dozen golfers and they said, “No problem.”
A dozen? Not quite. The final tally was three golfers and one observer, and one of the golfers doesn’t even work at Tactics. So, needless to say, the two Tactics employees, which included myself and Christina, another customer service rep, will be defending the men’s and women’s title next year at the 2nd Annual Tactics Classic Golf Tournament.
All photos were shot by Benson on his phone, so pardon the quality. We hope next year’s turnout will be a little better, but that doesn’t mean the four of us didn’t have a great time!
