Straight from the good folks at SK8EUG, we just got the heads up about another city council work session, and it’s just one week away! Full details from Skate Eugene below.

Thanks to you and other skatepark supporters, the Eugene City Council has decided to hold a work-session on May 23rd, 2012, to discuss funding the skatepark construction cost gap with a small portion of the 2006 Parks Bond Fund. If enough Councilors are on board, they will move the discussion to a final vote at a normal Council meeting later this summer!  Although public testimony is not allowed at the meeting itself, the meeting is open to anyone and will be held in the McNutt Room of City Hall, 777 Pearl Street.  The start time for the Work Session is 12:00 pm and the skatepark is slated for 12:45-1:30 p.m.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Simple, you need to call or email your city councilor, and tell them: PLEASE DIRECT THE EUGENE PARKS DEPT. TO USE 2006 PARKS BOND FUNDS FOR SKATEPARK CONSTRUCTION COSTS.

The hype’s been built and the sneakerheads are out in full force. Yes, the Adidas Blusenitz dropped today and they’ve been flying off the shelves…eight pairs just this morning. But you don’t have to wait in line, just cop a pair from our online shop here.

All shoes should ship with a custom Adidas/Busenitz sticker pack…sorry folks, the soccer ball is for the shop.

The Oregon Ink Tattoo Convention came to Eugene this past weekend and Tactics was a proud sponsor. We set up a booth, mingled with the tattoo artists and other vendors, put on a skate demo on Friday and Saturday, and enjoyed our time at the Lane County Fairgrounds.

Luke, our shop manager, even got some new ink over at The Parlour Tattoo’s booth; he also made Friday’s evening news. Oh yeah, and Wee-man was there signing photos for everybody who asked. That guy is down for everybody and always has a smile on his face.
