Time to break out the art supplies and put on your thinking cap because the Analog Design Unlikely Features contest has just opened. Draw up any jump or rail or object or….anything you can think of that would be fun to ride and send it to Analog. If they like it, they send you and a friend to Big Bear for a couple days to host/ compete in a contest centered around YOUR creation. Plus you get a bunch of free swag from Analog and about all the media coverage you can stomach. Twice a month starting now Analog is going to post the top 5 entries on their site. These semi finalist will also get a bunch of free stuff, just for being rad.

Come up with a totally new idea, or build upon something that already exists. Draw it by hand, create on your computer, sketch on a napkin, build it out of Popsicle sticks…use whatever method you want. Be creative!

It started as a way to showcase local talent and as a way for a young “no name” rippers to get some exposure and possibly get picked up by a sponsor. Since then it has grown A LOT and you cant really get into the event unless you already have a name in the industry. For that very reason Lib Tech has partnered with Jones Soda Co. and Zumiez to bring you the Feeders!  Local riders (that means YOU) are invited to compete at each stop for prizes, and the winner of each event will get an invite to Lib Tech’s 5th Annual DTTD in Seattle on October 9th. The winners from The Feeders! will be going up against last year’s winners Nick Visconti, Forest Bailey, and Scott Stevens as well as a small army of other rippers from all over North America. Don’t miss this opportunity to win some sweet product and get a shot at fame and fortune in Seattle. The Oregon comp will be at the Clackamas mall on Sept 25th.  So be there because you never know, you might just be the next big thing.

Finally I had to get the story on this piece of snowboarding history. This beautiful creation was picked up by Tyler in 1992, just before his freshman year in highschool. “I remember seeing it in the shop and liking it so much I had to get two, a blue one and a red one”. “It was back in the day when he was riding with Noah Salasnek, Terry Kidwell and Shannon Dunn. Those guys killed it so hard.” After snapping a few photos of Tyler and his Jersey we started talking about set ups. “Man, back then I was riding my very first board ever, a Morrow Multipro 165 that I picked up in Boise. I had Morrow bindings and some old Burton work boot type things. That setup was sick. I wound up selling it years later in a ski swap”. Well maybe one day you can reconnect with your long lost stick but until then thanks for stoking us out every other day with that rad jersey.

After returning from the Agenda tradeshow, Tactics Streetwear buyer Eric Purdy simply stated “Lifetime was hands down the strongest line I looked at the whole show. There wasn’t a single piece I wouldn’t carry.” Reps were contacted, orders were placed and the first offerings from the 2010 fall line are now available in our shop and online.

So the Faces of Death Wish tour is nearly over  and KR3W took a minute to sit down with Mr. Dixon and ask him a few questions about how the tour has been treating him. Looks like Tactics treated them just fine because Eugene was his favorite spot on the tour. Maybe he doesn’t remember the getting dragged out of the bar by the head part. If you guys missed this event don’t fret because there are plenty more coming this summer. Look out for the stay gold ramp Premiere soon!
