Cameron W.

NAME: Cameron W.

POSITION: Shipping Manager

  • Which Tactics trip or event is the most memorable for you?
    • Hands down employee bowling trip 2008. After ingesting far too much alcohol, which I don’t do often, I “time traveled” from the bowling alley at night to lying on Lizzards futon the next day with Benson man snuggling me (how could you blame the guy though?). I then hopped up, still a little delirious from the night before to my girlfriend at the time who had been circling the neighborhood all night looking for me (apparently in my drunken stooper I failed to call and let her know I wasn’t coming home). But after a small argument and a little more sleep it was all laughs and I was back in the warehouse, fashionably late, ready for another day in paradise.
  • What were you doing before coming to Tactics and how’d you get your job here?
    • I was breaking my back in the wire rope rigging industry, using all my spare time and energy to get outdoors, camp, snowboard, raft, hike — anything. That work takes a toll though and after a while I didn’t have any energy or time for my hobbies. That’s about when Timmay told me about a seasonal opening at Tactics. I was used to the high pace and fell in love with the low stress work environment and was able to prove myself over the winter and keep my position full time.
  • What would you be doing if you weren’t working at Tactics?
    • I would be the CEO of a multi-million dollar corporation, Noble Peace Prize winner and a super hero. But unfortunately for the world, my abilities are best suited for Tactics.
  • What would you say it is that you actually do here?
    • Certified International and Domestic Export Shipping Engineer Expert, C.I.D.E.S.E.E. for short (pronounced C,D,Z). Oh yea, did I mention I was the manager of that division?
  • What would you do with $5,000?
    • 5 G’s? Shoot, I’d invest it. Double up, double up, keep it uppin’, then buy a chopper… maybe a leer jet.
